Dr. Vandana Kumar
Dr. Vandana Kumar is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at Kansas City University College of Dental Medicine. She is also the president of VAK-Voxelreaders, a platform for the secure exchange of cone beam CT (CBCT) scans and radiology reports.
Dr. Kumar earned her MS in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her DDS from the University of Missouri–Kansas City. She previously served at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Dentistry and the University of Maryland School of Dentistry.
She has served as Director and Secretary-Treasurer of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (ABOMR) and was an elected officer on the Executive Council of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (AAOMR). She has contributed numerous peer-reviewed articles and research abstracts to her field and serves as an ad hoc reviewer for journals including Dentomaxillofacial Radiology, the Journal of Dental Education, and Angle Orthodontist. In addition, she has authored several textbook chapters and presented extensively at national and international conferences.
